A welcome break

Sorry for the blog silence the past few weeks but George and I were on a much needed vacation with family up in the mountains in North Carolina.  Today it was back to work on the house so more pics to come this week but for now Here's a few pics to highlight some of the fun.

Had fun hanging out the parents- and cooking in a real kitchen.

We took walks to take in the scenery.

One day we rented a pontoon boat and went for a ride around Lake Santeetlah.

We took my nephew swimming and he had a blast!

Hung out with my cutie-pie nephew, Jakob.

Drove up on the Cherohala Skyway while the fog rolled in.

But never forgetting about the house we took time to observe the natural elements we want to see incorporated in our home.

Hung out with the puppy dog and we napped.... A LOT!!!!!
