Tearing down walls (and putting them back up)

Last weekend the guys tore out the front wall for the living area in order to make the wall straight across and replace the sliding glass doors with a window.  The wall had a little alcove in where the front door was that didn't make sense to us, so we tore it out and made the part of the wall with the door even straight across to the window.  While they were at it they also tore off all the old rotten siding outside and replaced it with hardi-panel so it'll last for decades! Here's some pics of the process:

1. Tore out the wall and all doors, windows, etc.:

2. Re-framed the wall the way we wanted it straight across and put in the window:

3. Tore off all the front siding and put up the plywood and then put up the vapor barrier:

 4. Put up the new siding:

By mid week they gotten all of the panels, siding and trim up so that it now looks like this:

5. Paint!!!! to be cont....

Where was I in all this you ask?  Trying to start clearing out the front garden bed and re-frame it so we can plant our magnolia tree:

Where was Maverick in all this you ask?? You guessed it- napping:

Where was Godiva in all this you ask?? You guessed it--hiding somewhere!
