(what's in green is already done)
1. Re-plumb the house
2. Redo all electricity
3. Move the kitchen drain so we can move the kitchen (i.e. cut up the concrete slab).
4. Take out back sliding glass doors and extend wall out to make pantry, glass door and pass-thru window
5. Install kitchen cabinets and peninsula/bar wall
6. Move the closets to make:
a. master closet in the middle bedroom for our room
b. move w/d closet
c. create a recessed wall for the tv to hang on where w/d closet used to be
7. Take out front sliding glass doors and extend front wall where front door is and change sliders to a window
8. Add soffit to the living area
9. Install recessed lighting in the kitchen and living room
10. Gut the front bathroom and add in a small linen closet and soffit as well new bathroom sink (taking out old vanity)11. Reframe the doorway to the front bedroom at an angle to open up the hallway
12. Turn the atrium into an indoor zen garden area with a big skylight
13. Pour final concrete to level out where back and front walls were extended
14. Pour concrete countertops in the kitchen and put in undermount sink
15. Stain the concrete floors
16. Texture and paint!!
So that makes us about 2/3 done so far. Actually, the first stuff on the list was really the most time consuming. We've got almost ALL the new drywall up. Now its just tackling the atrium, the bathroom and pouring concrete. Then we're ready for the finishing touches. Whew!! Think we can do it by August???
