The good, the bad and the ugly

The last few days have been a bit of a roller coaster.

THE GOOD: We decided the other night that we really wanted to basically swap the kitchen and dining room with the living room.  It fills the space a lot better and allows for a little more freedom.

THE BAD: We'll have dig down through the foundation to move the drain for the sink (and when I say we I mean George).  Its going to be really obnoxious to do but completely worth it.  Here it is mostly empty:

THE UGLY: We posted a few things up on Craigslist and we're hoping and praying to get them sold ASAP so we can put the extra $$ towards new couches (that fit the living area) and the kitchen.  We had also posted our hideously ugly kitchen cabinets but were not having any luck.  We had one buyer come by and look and it was a no-go.  All of a sudden George had the idea to "repurpose" some of them for his little workshop out back.  Here he is all proud of the progress in his workshop:
After finishing this and surveying what was left of the cabinets we realized we had plenty to do the cabinets in the office that we were hoping to buy (after they've had a good cleaning and been painted black).  So while we didn't make $200 selling the old cabinets, we save a ALOT by repurposing them around the house.  An afternoon well spent.
