We've discovered that we really do have the best neighbors in this little block of ours. One neighbor is always so sweet to offer coffee and check on us and doesn't mind us hammering away into the wee hours of the morning on our common wall. Another is an architect and remodeled his own place and has had some great advice for us. Last night we had him over to go over a few things we want to do so that we could get his opinion on the exact steps we would need to take. While walking through the house (our door was wide open) another neighbor came over to greet us. These wonderful men walked through our home with us and helped provide some great insight into some easy things we could do that could make a big difference. They took us through their own homes to see what they had done so we could also get ideas. With all this were offers of help when it came time to do the more difficult work, not just advice. It just feels good to already know our neighbors and have people who are interested in us and so excited for us to move in and get settled. What a blessing!
Today is the big purchasing order day. Demo is done and now its time to spend the big $$. Pray for us as we strive to make wise fiscal decisions for the sake of our budget. I'll post good finds when we get back later. Our first stop is the another location of our new favorite store: Habitat for Humanity's Restore. I HIGHLY recommend you find one and check them out. Its like a thrift store for home improvement products and you won't believe the deals! More to come later.
The only reason you can do all this is that neither of you know what sleep is. And eating is something you shove in your mouth while removing linoleum. I think they call it psychosis. But anyway is seems to work for you two - not me. If I did what you two do my house would look something Salvador Dali constructed. Praying for you strength
