Today is just a little quickie since we've actually been working on the pantry all day. (We had to put off finishing the countertops today for the sake of time and manpower- hopefully next weekend those will be D-O-N-E!) I realized today that I have a soft spot for 45 degree angles. Don't ask me why. I always hated geometry and triangles. But now I find myself drawn to their sharp angles. Maybe its their middle-of-the-road attitude- refusing to be no angle at all and being a complete 90 degree angle. Maybe its their sharp defiance to follow the norm in a world of right angles. No clue. I do know that in any project we do, when George asks me if I want something squared off or rounded off I always ask for "just a 45 please". For example, check out my kitchen:
And it doesn't stop there. Today George taught me to use the router just so I could give some of pantry shelves a more finished edge. Which one did I pick? The perfect 45 angle. <sigh> What can you do with me?
